Snow day reorganization Part 3.

I anticipated some bugs, they're not difficult to find cause it's easy to trace how the code is boken. It's just tedious and time consuming to update the code. Right now I have ART completed with all the extra pages to check out. I feel confident I'll be able to get through the rest of the site in a handful of days or less. I've been trying to find ways to reduce file size for fast page load times. I have roughly 60 or so images to resize, the updated slider is the bane of my developing. It does look nicer tho.

Snow day reorganization Part 2.

I was writing a new blog post and while testing the layout I noticed that my links weren't working correctly. In the first ten minutes of bug hunting I knew I had to update my framework, I'd been dragging my feet on this for a while. So I said fuck it and deleted everything and started over from the beginning. What I'm trying to focus on is reducing page load times so people with less than ideal internet connections can browse with ease, once I get more content up.

So far I've fixed the navagation bar, my drop down stopped working, everything was smushed together, my respovive menu wasn't clickable. I was really overwhelmed with all the errors. I while it's difficult for me to focus, I was able to work through errors as I found them. Nothing is perfect but I'm happy with the basic layout now.

Things to look forward to: More class material. I need to edit sober what I wrote drunk while celebrating Veteran's Day Weekend. I had a blast working on my ideas even though it sounds like I was bragging, I was exaggerating about how someone let me run on and on "Yip and Yap". I actually had detailed questions that had been burning in the back of my brain for a long time ready to ask him. The best part about meeting someone like Mr. White, he actully knew all the answers. For years I've tried to interpret copywrite law on my own. He provided me the opportunity to pick his brain and get me started in the right direction. The reason why I had to find a copywrite lawyer in the first place was because I had gotten flagged for sharing something that I didn't make on another website. I thought it was okay to share it just because it was _however years_ old.

Before I started adding anything meaningful to this site I wanted to record myself reading books to people, my favorite books. Mr. White set me strait to stay in the Public Domain. I wasn't able to find a book to set me off like the Picture History of the U. S. Navy book. Thank goodness for art to get me developing again, trying to fill it out.

More Content Now

I finally finished all the image and site work for the latest page My Kitting Stuff. I just updated all the navs on the pages.

I had to add a donation link back up on the front page, I'm not really sure what I'm going to do but I'll keep working trying to figure it out.

2022 Donation Drive Results & More Content Soon

A bunch of stuff hasn't been going the way I had hoped but I was able to raise 95 US Dollars and 12 Cents. I'm so grateful for your help and support. I'm building out more and wanted the changelog to reflex my latest addition but I scratch my cornea the other day and am holding off on the image design work.

Because of your help, I'll be able to have hosting on my site for the next two years. I have a remainder of roughly 9 US Dollars and I'm going to look into where else I can put that money for operating costs. When we got our first round of government relief payments, I bought a bed for the first time in my adult human life. A real bed of my own. Then I paid for 5 years to ICCAN so I can keep my little home online. I don't think the name of my domain matters as much as the work I'm finally able to share with others.

I figured out how to enbed videos last night. It's not that hard, I've never tried it before. So, that's something to look forward to.

2022 Fall Recent Changes

I need to remove pong and set up my game, Save Bees or make a new one. I doubt I'll make a new game but I might try to revive some old ideas I never got to build out before.

I went with Gimp, it's actually a lot easier to use than I thought it was going to be. Sure it's not an Adobe product but I don't have to turn off the internet before I open up the program (/s).

I added a crafts page but I'm just trying to play ketch up. I work faster than I'm able to record and share online. The good news? If you like my content I have about ten years of backlogs to share.

Recent Changes

I added pong and moved the blog from the front page two weeks ago but forgot to update this silly place.

I doubt I'll purchase a closed source graphic art thing and instead try to use the tools I have avaiable to make my site unique.

I'm not sure what direction I'll go moving forward but I'm satisfied with what I've accomplished so far 08/16/2022

Weekend Clean Up

Saturday November 20th 20221: Slowly tidying up code. Almost ready to focus on content and uploading but first my little dog needs extra layers or we're not going to be able to play outside much this winter.

I plan to upload a tutorial on this project along with God's knows how many others I've been dying to share!
